Social determinants

__Of management and mortality
Two stories in the January 2012 issue of European Journal of Cancer:
* Differences according to socioeconomic status in the management and mortality in men with high risk prostate cancer. Excerpt: Amongst 17,522 high risk prostate cancer patients, a bone scan was more often performed in higher white-collar than in blue-collar workers.
* Colorectal cancer survival in socioeconomic groups in England. Except: For colon cancer there was a very high excess death rate in the first month of follow-up, and the excess death rate was highest in the socioeconomically deprived groups.
