For the last three years, VON Greater Halifax, the Atlantic School of Theology and Cancer Care Nova Scotia have collaborated to organize a day long interdisciplinary, interfaith professional education day for those interested in learning more about death and dying and discovering how we can facilitate healing within ourselves and with each other.

This year's workshop includes "Ed's Story" -  A Play - Reflections at End of Life.  The  story of Ed, a sensitive young man with an aggressive cancer. Drawn from Ed's journal and from interviews with his family and friends, "Ed's Story" is a portrait of a boy on the verge of adulthood fighting not only a medical battle but a battle to experience his life on his terms.

Dr. Frager will lead Gathering, Review and Sharing following the play.  Dr. Gerri Frager is the producer of "Ed's Story" as well as Medical Director of the IWK's Pediatric Palliative Care Service and Director of Dalhousie University's Medical Humanities - HEAL Program.

What is this workshop all about?
This workshop is an interdisciplinary, interfaith gathering open to all who are interested in learning more about death and dying and discovering how we can facilitate healing within ourselves and each other.
