Canadian Cancer Society

A national community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is to eradicate cancer and to enhance the quality of life of people living with cancer. It offers individual or group support programs for caregivers, family and friends. To help you with practical concerns, CCS offer a range of programs, such as transportation to cancer treatment (programs vary depending on where you live).

Context
The Canadian Cancer Society consists of national offices in Toronto and Ottawa, 10 provincial and territorial divisions,approximately 170,000 volunteers (including canvassers), and approximately 1,200 full-time staff. Local efforts are coordinated through divisional offices. Each province is a division of the Canadian Cancer Society with a divisional Board of Directors, chaired by a volunteer divisional president.
