Cancer Research Training Program

BHCRI is now accepting applications for the October 2011 CRTP (Cancer Research Training Program) funding competition. The deadline for submission is 4:00 pm AST on Monday, October 3, 2011. Visit bhcri.ca for more information and to download an application.

There will be two opportunities for supervisors to participate in a one hour session, via Webex, with Dr. Gerry Johnston, co-chair of the Cancer Research Training Program. Gerry will provide tips on preparing a successful application and will answer any questions that you may have. These sessions will be held on Wednesday, August 31 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm and Tuesday, September 13 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. You are welcome to attend either session. Registration is mandatory.

The Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute 3rd Annual Cancer Conference in Atlantic Canada will take place on
November 7 and 8 at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax, NS.

"...a day devoted to trainees, a full research symposium, and a series of public lectures. The overall theme is Factors that affect cancer incidence and the course of disease. Three world-class speakers will talk about the relevance of nutrition, exercise and genetic factors. For further details contact admin@bhcri.ca."
