The practice of psychosocial oncology has developed to assist patients in adapting to these challenges. PHSA operates eight agencies that provide province-wide health care services, including the BC Cancer Agency... the PHSA is responsible for coordinating specialized provincial health services like thoracic surgery and trauma services, which are delivered in a number of locations across the province.
